Today on Getting Married In Greece i present you a breathtaking style shoot on Santorini island by photographers Melina and Kostis Mouselimis. The inspiration for this style shoot was for me and photographers, promoting one of the most beautiful wedding destinations in Greece as well as the high level of facilities to host any kind of wedding. Our specific source of inspiration was Santorini and its unique view and light. This fine art style shoot is an ode to beauty, light and the breathtaking setting, Santorini’s caldera. The scenery itself guided us towards the decoration style and the details such as the wedding cake, the flowers and the stationery. We chose ivory and pastels as our basic theme combined with the bold colours of the spring flowers. The jaw dropping pale pink wedding dress has an amazing lace top and a silk tulle pleated skirt in line with the embroidered veil. The hairstyle and make up was elegant and classic.
Photographer Kostis Mouselimis said to us: “Santorini, where love becomes eternal as light. This fine art shoot was dreamt up and coordinated by the blogger Chloe Koromila of "Getting Married In Greece" and us, capturing the Greek Cycladic beauty and the eternal light. Light is a type of energy. Santorini is a place once you visit it, you feel its energy of light. So the scenery we ended up shooting, was perfect to engage this feeling. We wanted to focus on a palette, composed of natural colors like green, yellow, pastel pink and the romance surrounding a Mediterranean bride swimming in the beautiful white light, looking like vision. The groom has nothing else to do than admiring her. We kept our style simple, elegant though, trying to express pure aesthetics and warmth in a beautiful combination during this photo session. When we first set our eyes on the gorgeous handmade nude pink lace wedding dress made by talented designer Vasia Tzotzopoulou, the stunning sky of Santorini was the first thing that came to our minds. The tabletop was taken place in "The Vasilikos Suites", a cozy hotel with the most incredible view that you have ever dreamed in Caldera. The cake was created with marble texture and the colorful bouquet of the orange and yellow flowers representing the sun to complement the shooting concept. The unique light of Greece meeting the aenaon white, gave us everything we needed capturing hybrid simple imagery. It may be common but it is true "Santorini makes the most beautiful, romantic scenery for an unforgettable wedding"
